Passenger information system for small and medium-sized airports!
SimpleCLOUD is intended for small and medium-sized airports that are looking for a modern passenger information system but do not wish to invest a large sum in a custom-made and hard-to-integrate system. SimpleCLOUD has been designed with a special emphasis put on an easy integration so that our clients have a fully functional solution for their information displays, automatic announcements and mobile notification services installed within a few days.
The entire system is based on the Cloud technology. What does that mean in practice? For the end users at the airport, nothing changes. They still have a user interface to control the system, they work with the current list of flights, they can trigger the different announcements, set up calendars, etc. All the changes and novelties lie in the installation and operation of the system. There is no more need for a complicated installation of a server, its integration into the airport’s IT infrastructure and a complex administration by the airport staff. All server services are offered through the SimpleCLOUD application at a central server located in Prague, the Czech Republic, which contains all the language libraries and the system’s logic. Airports access it as clients and play specific announcements on a hard disk player – the SimpleBOX.
SimpleBOX is a small device that may be used as a source of sound and to control the PA system, or as a terminal of the system of information displays. When used with the PA system, it is connected by a single audio output. The PA system is then controlled by a contact closure that may be used to control the system of any supplier.
SimpleBOX may also be connected to the display and thus become the basic component of the FIDS system. To ensure a stable operation independent of the central server, the unit always has announcements uploaded for a longer period of time (usually 24 hours).
